A message front Fleznington, Xe*v Jersey. states that John Hughes Cnrtis. of Norfolk, Yirrrini3, was convicted of aiding tin; kidnappers oif Colonel and Mrs. L"ndbe:rgh's baby, and preventing their capture. Colonel Norman F'hwarzkopf. Superintendent of Police, 2.:w Jersey, announced hi May that Curtis, one of the Norfolk "negotiators" zn the case of the Lindbeirgh baby, had written a ccreplete confession. this stated that all the people with whom Curtds said he ""'as negotia.injr. and all the boats on which he sa3_d he had met them, were creations of his oui imagination.
