STRUCK BY TRAMCAR.

ELDERLY WOMAN INJURED.

FALL FROM SAFETY ZONE. Slight concussion and shock were received by Mrs. Lily Donaldson, aged 52, of 16, Morrow Street, Newmarket, as a result of being struck by a tramcar in Newmarket at about 4.30 yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Donaldson had just alighted from a tiamcar, and slipped off the safety zone, falling in front of the tram, which struck her. She was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John ambulance. Her condition last evening was not serious.
