KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.
ELDERLY WOMAN INJURED. Head injuries were suffered by an elderly woman, Mrs. J. Rankin, of 4, Normanby Road, Mount Eden, when she was knocked down by a motor-car in Khyber Pass Road, at the Burleigh Street corner, about. 7 o'clock last evening. Mrs. Rankin was crossing the road toward Burleigh Street, when she was struck by the vehicle, -which was travelling toward Newmarket. She was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance.. Her condition js. not serious.
