RUGBY FOOTBALL.

Y.M.C. A. CLUB'S SEASON. An enthusiastic annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Eugby Football' Club was presided over by Mr. J. H. Miller. The report showed that the club had a satisfactory season and the balance-sheet disclosed a credit of £2 0s 7d. Mr. H. Frost, chairman of the management committee of the Auckland Eugby Union, gave advice on the game. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President. Mr. E. H. Horsley; vicepresidents, Sir George Richardson, Messrs. F. Paton and W. W. King; secretary, .Mr. R. Stevens; management committee, Messrs. A. Thompson, W. Corbett, L. D. Whitchurch, F. H. Jackson, M. Cole; delegate to Auckland Rugby Union and Junior Management Board, Mr. R. Stevens. The appointment of the selection committee was deferred. ' A number of new members was enrolled and it was decided to make every endeavour to promote and encourage Rugby in the boys' division. It is hoped that at least two boys' teams will enter for the Auckland Rugby Union competitions. SUBURBS CLUB. The annual meeting of Suburbs Rugby Football Club was presided over by Mr. F. Warren. The report showed that the past season had been a successful one, particularly in regard to increased membership and enthusiasm of the junior players. The balance-sheet showed the club was in a better financial position than for several years past, this being chiefly due to the fact that the club's share of the sports' queen carnival had offset any falling off in subscriptions, leaving a small credit balance. The assets are £SOB 3s Bd, and liabilities £175, leaving a credit balanco of £330 3s Bd. The following officials were elected'— Patron, Mr. H. P. Burton; president, Mr.' F. Billingham; delegate to Auckland Rugby Union, Mr. S. S. Hardman; delegate to junior management board, Mr. N. Robertson; delegate to junior boys' committee, Mr. R. Billingham. WAIMAUKU CLUB. The annual meeting of the Waimauku Rugby Football Club was -well_ attended. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £B. [TROSI OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TE AROHA, Friday. The annual meeting of the Waitoa Rugby Football Club was largely attended. Mr. H. R. Blomfield presided. A deputation from the Springdale district suggested that the district should combine with Waitoa for the purpose of promoting a senior and junior grade. The matter was referred to the committee. The annual report stated that a good season had been experienced. The balance showed a profit on the season of £4B. compared with a loss of £3l in 1930. The union's balance at the bank was £307.
