SLIGHT RISE IN LONDON. QUOTATIONS FOR SILVER. LONDON. March 17. Gold is quoted to-day at £5 14s 5d an ocompared with £5 14s yesterday. Silver is quoted at 18d an oz. spot and 18 l-16d forward, compared with 18 l-8d and yesterday. The quotation for silver at per standard oz. is 13d and at per fine oz., 19 7-16 d, compared with 18 l-8d and 19 9-16 d yesterday.
