FAREWELL AT HAMILTON.
[from our own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Friday, iA farewell to Mr. I). Scannell, who has been promoted to the office of district public trustee at Grevraouth, was tendered at a gathering of the staff of the Hamilton Public Trust Office this week. Air. F. J. Moore, district public trustee, and the accountant. Mr. K. C. Stockman, offered congratulations to Mr. Scannell on his appointment and wished him success. Opportunity was taken to welcome Mr. F. M. Gundry, who has arrived from Christchurch to succeed Mr. Scannell.
