MISHAPS ON RACECOURSE.
HORSES FALL IN TRAINING. INJURIES TO TWO RIDERS. [nt TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] GISBORNE, Saturday. Two accidents occurred on the Park racecourse this morning as a result of horses coming down during exercises. The riders, F. Dunn and C. Bartlett, each had a collarbone broken.
In the first case, Crown Link and King W'anga were galloping, when Crown Link crashed through a fence and fell heavily to the ground, taking his rider, Dunn, with him. In the second case, while Tall Timber and Little Wonder were out working over hardies, Tall Timber failed to rise at the second fcDce and, turning a somersault,, threw Bartlett heavily. For a time Bartlett was unconscious. Both riders were removed to hospital aftei' receiving medical attention*
