UNROBED COUNSEL.
OF HEARING. . SUPREME COURT APPLICATION. [FROM ovr own correspondent ] HAMILTON - . Friday. "You cannot, be heard, you must be properly robed." said tlio registrar of the Supreme 4 Court in Hamilton, Mr. G. S. Clark, today in addressing ft young barrister and solicitor, who applied for the discharge of a client in bankruptcy. Counsel was in ordinary attire.
Mr. Clark later explained that counsel could have mado the application as a solicitor, in which case the rules of the Court required that he should be attired in a robe and should wear a white tie. If lie made the application as a barricter he should wear a wig, in addition to the robe and tie, and in which event there would be an'additional fee of on« guinea to be paid. The application was made later by counsel attired as a barrister, and was granted.
