CYCLIST KNOCKED DOWN.

STRUCK BY MOTOR-LORRY. SERIOUS INJURIES RECEIVED. [FY TELEGRAPH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.] , HAMILTON, Friday. A young man, John William Thomson, aged 20, son of Mr. W. M. Thomson, of Te Rapa, received severe head injuries and a broken leg through being knocked down by a motor-lorry when riding a bicycle on the main south road at Horotiu late this evening. He was overtaken by the lorry, which was proceeding to Frankton.

Dr. D. Martin, of Ngaruawahia rendered assistance, and the injured man was removed by ambulance in an unconscious condition io the Waikato Hospital. His condition at a late hour was very scriout.
