SURTAX ON COAL.
WITHDRAWAL BY FRANCE. STATEMENT IN COMMONS. (Received February 2). J\s p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Feb. 23. The President of the Board of Irade, Mr. Walter Runciman, stated in the House of Commons that a decree had been issued in Paris this morning whereby the 15 per cent,, surtax on British coal would be withdrawn as from next Thursday.
