TRIBUTE TO BRITAIN.
FRENCH PRIME MINISTER. " THAT NOBLE COUNTRY." (Received February 24, 8.15 p.m.) PARIS, Feb. 24. The statement of policy made in the Chamber of Deputies to-day by the new Prime Minister, M. Tardieu, was more than usually notable for his cordial reference to Britain. He said the ambition of France was to have a general understanding with " that noble country, which stands for peace and right." Tho Chamber passed a vote of confidence in' the Government by 309 votes to 262.
