YESTERDAY'S SALES. RETURN ON INVESTMENTS. Following is a list of yesterday's transactions 011 New Zealand Stock Exchanges. In Hie second column is given the return, based on the last annual dividend, from investment at the quoted price. On the Sydney investment market today there was a distinctly unfavourable reaction as a result of the attitude of Mr. Lang legarding the Commonwealth proceedings against New South Wales and there was a further general marking down of values. Gas and electricity scrip also suffered a setback in consequence of the threatened legislation to restrict, dividends and fix prices of cas and electricity. Most issues of Commonwealth bonds were lower, but banks were practically unchanged.
