THEFT ALLEGED.
GOODS VALUED AT £135. THREE MEN FOR TRIAL. [BY telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Following inquiries into thefts from two houses in Grant Road, while the occupiers were on holiday, George Frederick Hall, aged 32, traveller, William John Newman, aged 52, plasterer, and James Burch, aged 49, labourer, appeared in the Police Court to-day. The accused pleaded not guilty to two charges of breaking and entering and theft of goods, valued at £135 10s 4rl. They were committed for trial. The magatrate refused bail.
