HUSBANDS AND WIVES.
ORDERS FOR RETURN. Two orders for the restitution of conjugal rights were issued by Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court yesterday. A restitution order was sought by Herbert Brierley against Mary Brierley, to whom he was married in 1925. Petitioner stated that on January 3, 1931, his wife left him without warning and he found she had gone to her mother's home. Friends of both sides had tried without avail to get her to return. He knew of no reason why she should remain away. The two children were in liis custody. The respondent was ordered to return to (petitioner within 14 days. An order, of the Court for her husband's return was sought by Lavinia Florence Coleman against John Foster Coloman. The parties wore married in July, 1928. and lived at Te.Kuiti until December, 1929, when the respondent left, saying he was going home to live with his people. Petitioner said there was no reason for this separation and she was definitely opposed to it. An order was made for the husband to return to his wife within 21 days.
