TO CURE BLACKHEADS.

Blackheads may bo relieved by patting the affected parts several times a day with a soft old rag dipped in a solution of 36 grains of subcarbonate of soda, Boa. distilled water and 6 drops of essence of roses. Allow to dry on the face. The parts affected should be washed well each night and morning with pure soap and warm water, then bathed for five minutes with water as hot as can be borne. Press out the blackheads with a finger nail under a soft old handkerchief. Another lotion recommended is the following, applied with a piece of cotton wool and allowed to remain on all night:—One part precipitated sulphur, 24 parts rosewater and 24 parts lime water. The diet should be perfectly plain, and pastry, sweets and all fatty foods avoided, while plenty of green vegetables should be eaten.
