New toys arc exciting, but in unskilled hands they often cause minor accidents. That box of tools, for instance, may lead to trouble, and the sharp edges of tin engines and broken china are among many other possible causes. If the hands are not dirty, clean cut wounds of this description generally heal up without any bother. The injured finger should first be washed in warm water. Dry by dabbing with a clean towel aijd Ihen paint the wound with iodine. 13.nd up with a clean boiled rag. If there is throbbing and pain at the end of the second day, the dressing should be changed for a hot fomentation, made by wringing boracic lint out of boiling hot water. Keep the heat in with a piece of oiled silk, and change the dressing every two hours.
