PRISON MUTINY.
REPORT IN PREPARATION. QUESTION OF REMISSIONS. (Received February 5, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON'. Feb. 4. The Home Secretary, Sir Herbert Samuel, in answer to a question in the House of Commons, said that when he visited Dartmoor Prison during the Christmas recess, there was nothing to indicate the subsequent trend of events. The report of the inquiry into the mutiny being conducted by Jlr. Herbert <lu Parcq, K.C., will be ready shortly and will be circulated. The question of the remissions of the sentences of the life-sen-tence prisoner Donovan and others who helped to protect the governor and warders, will be considered in- the light of the full evidence.
