RIDERS REFUSE TO COMPETE. PROTEST AGAINST REDUCTION. [BY TEI.EGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Dissatisfaction was expressed at a meeting of speedway riders last, evening with the amount paid for machine maintenance bv the local speedway proprietors. It was unanimously decided that "riding under the present conditions of reduced prize-money was entirely unprofitable, and that riders would not enter for any further meetings after Saturday night."
