WOMAN'S WALKING TOUR.
NEW ZEALAND-MADE GOODS. [FROM Ol'R OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Friday. A cordial reception was given to Miss Esther James, who is walking through the Dominion advertising New Zealand-made goods, on her arrival in Hamilton last evening. Miss James was met at the northern boundary of the town and was escorted along the main street by the South Auckland Caledonian Society's pipe band, and a company of Girl Guides. Miss James left Spirits Bay, in the Far North, 36 days ago, and has since walked 433 miles. Her journey from Auckland to Hamilton occupied five days. Miss James was given a civic reception last evening and she addressed the audience on her experiences during her tour. She continued her journey south to-day.
