PLANTATION FOR POLES.
POWER BOARD'S VENTURE. CESSATION OF OPERATIONS. [from our own correspondent.] TE AROHA, Thursday. The Thames Valley Electric-Power Board at its last, meeting received an offer for the purchase of a portion of the Waitakaruru plantation area and was asked if it would lease the balance of the area.
Mr. Corbett moved that the on the minute book dated August 6, 1929, that 19 acres- of the Waitakaruru reserve be planted every year, and that the position be reviewed every two years, be rescinded.
Mr. Pohlen seconded the motion, which was carried.
On the motion of Mr. Corbett the Finance Committeo was empowered to dispose of the property" to the best advantage.
