CAR STRIKES POLE.
TWO YOUNG WOMEN INJURED. ONE RECEIVES CONCUSSION. Two young women were injured, one seriously, when a motor-car collided with a. telegraph pole in Puhinui Road, Papatoetocj about 11 a.m. yesterday. The injured, Miss Piu Kirkwood and Miss J. King, residents of At well Road, Pukekohe, were admitted to the Auckland Hospital.
! The car was being driven by another woman when it struck the pole. The front of the vehicle was damaged extensively. Miss King, who received concussion, was reported to be in a fairly serious condition last evening. The condition of Miss Kirkwood, who received head injuries, was not serious.
