CHURCH FOR MAORIS.
WAIKATO DIOCESE SCHEME. ERECTION AT PAEROA. [from our own correspondent.] HAMILTON. Monday. Efforts are being made in the Waikato Diocese to raise funds for the erection at Paeroa of a Maori church. The church will be the first Maori one in the diocese. A site and the sum of £3OO was donated about a year ago. The plans are being prepared but, the. building cannot be commenced until the required amount of approximately £4OO is in hand. A "three-fold missionary box" scheme has been launched by the Diocesan Missionary .Committee. The committee hopes to place a box in every home and the contents will be divided equally between the home, Maori and overseas missions funds.
