JEWELLERY STOLEN.
HOLE CUT IN SHOP ViMNDOW. GOODS EXTRACTED WITH WIRE. About £ls worth of jewellery was stolen from the display window of the Victoria Loan Company, opposite the Town Hall, on Sunday night or at an early hour yesterday morning. The thief made a- small hole in the glass pane and is thought to have abstracted the jewellery by means of a piece of wire inserted through the hole.
It is apparent that the theft was premeditated as the hole in the thick plate glass had been deliberately cut. The burglary was not. discovered until the shop was opened for business yesterday morning.
