POLICE COURT NEWS.
A charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car in .Tervois Road on August 23 was preferred against Robert Noton, aged 62, in the Police Court yesterday, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. Mr. Finlay, who icpresenled accused, entered a pica of guilty. Accused was fined £lO. A remand until next Monday was granted in the case of Alfred .Randolph Barton, aged 28, labourer, who was charged with 'ailing to comply with the terms of his release on probation, and also with obtaining five shillings at Frankton Junction on July 6, bv false pretences. De-tective-Sergeant Kelly said other charges •gainst accused Wi'cre pending.
