REFEREES' ASSOCIATION.

OFFICERS FOR ENSUING YEAR.

Pleasure 4hat the numerical strength of the association had been well maintained was expressed by the president, Mr. C. F. Paull, at. the annual meeting of the Auckland Rugby Referees' Association last evening. There was an attendance of 67 members. Tho report stated that the season was outstanding because of the reversion to international rules, which caused some difficulties in interpretation early in the season. As the season advanced these were overcome. The outstanding match of the» year in representative football had been Australia v. New Zealand at Eden Park controlled by Mr. H. Hollsnder, of Christchurch. Mr. C. F. Paull officiated in the match. Australia v. Waikato and King Country. The cordial feelings between the association and the Auckland Rugby Union which had existed for many years were maintained, and the thanks of the association were expressed to tho Union for privileges extended during the season. The election of officers resulted as follows President. Mr. F. E. Sutherland; vice-president, Mr. J. G. C. Wales; treasurer, Mr. G. Peace; executive members, Messrs. C. F. Paull, A. A. Lucas, L. Righton: examination committee, Messrs. A. Paull, J. G. Gasparich, D. V. Moore; representative on Rugby Union management committee, Mr. M. Kronfpld; member of the appointment board, Mr. G. Grigg; representative on the junior management. board, Mr. A. M. Mackay; vicepresident. of the New Zealand Rugby Referees' Association, Mr. P. Mackie; representative to tho New Zealand Rugby Referees' conference, Mr. F. E. Sutherland: decisions' board, Messrs. F. E. Sutherland, A. E. Wetherilt and A. Paull. The date of the next annual meeting was changed from tho end of the season to a date in March to bo fixed prior to the annual meeting of tho Auckland Rugby Union.
