GLENDOWIE TOURNAMENT.

RESULTS OF CONCLUDING DAY

CUP WON BY C. G. JOHNSON. The* Glendowio Golf Club's open tournnment was concluded at Glendowio yesterday, heavy rain making conditions very difficult,. Tr the semi-finnls of the Glendovvie Cup competition C. B. Thomas dc feated J. Kissling, 3 and 1, nnd C. G. Johnson beat .T, Stednian, " and 1. Tho final between C. G. Johnson find C. B. Thomas resulted in a win for the former by 1 up. Johnson started brilliantly and was 5 up at. the 10th. 0110 of the keenest, matches seen at the Glendowie links then ensued, Johnson getting tho verdict 011 tho last srrcen by holing a 1" foot putt. Following were the results of the group matches:— First Group.—Semi-finals: G. Brown won from J. C. Graham by default; A. Stednian won from F. Moginie by default. Final: A. Stedmun bent G. The Cambridge Golf Club's senior championship was played off on Saturday in fine weather and resulted in a win for W. R. Garrard, who defeated A. 11. Nicoll, 8 up and 2. This is the first time Garrard has won tho honour. Nicoll was club champion in 1906 and on several previous occasions. In the semi-finala of the junior championship Hewitt beat Ward and Wilson beat Baker.
