ACTIVE OCTOGENARIAN.
LIVE TO BE 100. Sir Oliver Lodge must be one of the healthiest and most active octogenarians alive. When staying at the fine old stonebuilt house at Lake Wilts, which was presented to him many years ago, his habits are those of an energetic man 25 years his junior. lie does physical exercises every morning, and the weather never interferes with his daily walks. It it rains he dons a coat with a hood protection for his bead, and tramps the lanes and paths that skirt the great rolling spaces of Salisbury Plain, defying the elements. Often, too, he is to be seen in his garden, a fine rural figure, in tweeds and golf cap. His mind, too, is active, and lie makes decisions quickly. Sir Oliver believes that men should live to be 100.
