ROSE PETALS.
When the Duchess of York was in Paris recently she was presented with eight or nine bouquets of La France roses at different times. The Duchess lias kept several leaves from each bouquet—a charming idea. Hei- mother. Lady Strathmore, makes delicious pot pourri from roses, lavender and other blooms at Glamis Castle. The Queen of the Belgians always keeps petals of the roses presented to her, and these are dried and put into a large cedar box.
