| The Writers* Club entertained the women representatives of the press on i Friday afternoon in the clubrooms, which i wero gay with daffodils, violets and prim- | roses. Several num- ; bers by Mrs. Cluett were much appreci ; ated, one of which, a poem, set to music ! and played by Mrs. Robert Neil, was j sung by Mrs. John Cook, Mus. Bac., i with violin obligato by Miss Ida Lock- | wood. Another poem was recited bv I Mrs. Spiers. Mrs. Doust's composi- • tion " Bush Brothers " was rented bv i Mi-s Joan Ross. Iwo songs, "Reverie and "Song of the Road," by Mis. Ryburn, were sung by Mrs. Nello Porter, accompanied by the composer. Miss Ida Lock wood played Schubert's " Slumbet Song," also the " Indian War Dance/' "In the Cane Brake " and Dvorak s j " Slavonic Dance " and was sympathy icj ally accompanied by Mrs. Robert Neil. | Mrs. John Cook afco sang Mr. 0.
