MERCANTILE AUXILIARY.
The members of the Mercantile Auxiliary last evening held a very enjoyable impromptu dance in the club rooms of the Overseas League in honour of <he othocrs. engineers and cadets of the m.s. Nairnbank and s.s. Antigone. The rooms were attractively decorated with bowls of spring ilowers and multicoloured streamers. During the evening songs were contributed by Miss Mona Boyd. Mrs. A. F. McArthur acted as hostess and wore a frock of orchid satin with coatee to tone. Among those present were: Mrs. D. McCrone, wearing heavily embossed coral velvet; Mrs. Lawrence, black satin heaute; Miss Evelyn McNeil, mist-blue charnieuse; Miss Hilda Dickey, lemon georgette; Miss Ivie Jennings, floral georgette; Miss Joyce Dickey, rose taffctta and silver; Miss Mona Boyd, eau-de-nil satin beaute; Miss Ida \ella, powder blue georgette; Miss Margery McArthur. frilled pink taffeta; Miss Moira Clark, heavv jet lace; Miss Lottie Leighton, parchim-nt satin: Miss Girlie Henderson, lace heavily embroidered with jet: Miss Phyllis Lawrence, apricot satin.
