BLACKBALL RETURNS. The Blackball Mines (Westland) returns for August, 1931, are as follows: — Crushed, 3550 tons, yielding 14570z. fine gold, valued at £6315. Working expenses, £5104; development, £636; capital expenditure, £lll. In addition Ihe furnace treated 93 tons concentrates for a return of 11707,. of gold, valued at £498. Profit over all, £782. KILDARE CONSOLIDATED. A report issued by the directors of the Kildaro Consolidated Gold Mining Company, Limited (Otago), states that since the report for the period ending December 5, 1930, was presented steady sluicing operations have been maintained and washups have been held at regular intervals. Deeper sinking is expected ki produce better results. Sales of gold for I lie period amount to £933 10s 6d, and gold 011 hand at June 30 is valued at £251. NOKOMAI SLUICING COMPANY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] DUNEDIN, Saturday. At the annual meeting of the Nokomai Sluicing Company it was stated that the company commenced operations in Central Otago in 1927, and up lo the present only one and a-half acres had been worked, with an average return of £7OOO to the acre. A new plant, being manufactured by the Vulcan Steel Construction Company, Auckland, would enable the paddocks to be worked more extensively, thus saving removal of the plant. KING SOLOMON RETURN. The mine manager of King Solomon Deep Lead, Ltd. (Gore), reports that the wash-up for last week totalled 230z.
