BLACKBALL RETURNS. The Blackball Mines (Westland) returns for August, 1931, are as follows: — Crushed, 3550 tons, yielding 14570z. fine gold, valued at £6315. Working expenses, £5104; development, £636; capital expenditure, £lll. In addition Ihe furnace treated 93 tons concentrates for a return of 11707,. of gold, valued at £498. Profit over all, £782. KILDARE CONSOLIDATED. A report issued by the directors of the Kildaro Consolidated Gold Mining Company, Limited (Otago), states that since the report for the period ending December 5, 1930, was presented steady sluicing operations have been maintained and washups have been held at regular intervals.
