The celebrations in connection with the Michael Faraday centenary will include "an exhibition at the Boyal Albert Hall, which will ba opened on September 21 by -(Jeneral Smdts, this year's President of tie British/ Association. '• ' Tlie exhibition will illustrate the basic principle of Faraday's work and its modem developments, such as broadcasting, radio telephony, and television. - - .f - Michael Faraday in 1831 found the true relation between magnetism and electricity, and on this, as Sir William Bragg, Director of the Royal Institution, said in * broadcast speech, and on other discoveries by Faraday were founded all those applications of electricity which formed the muscles and nerves of our modern life. , ■ '
