i NORTHCOTE COMMITTEE. A report from the Plunket Nurse that the work in the district was proceeding satisfactorily was received at the monthly meeting of the Northcote branch. of the society. The president, Mrs. A. Campbell, who occupied the chair, welcomed to the meeting Mrs. W. E. Richardson, a former Plunket worker at Northcote. It was announced that Mrs. W. P. Hay had become the owner of the lady's woollen bed-jacket donated by Mrs. McKerras, and that the gift had been the means of augmenting the funds to the extent of £7 10s 6d. The members of the sub-committee who visited the Karitane Hospital at Auckland were impressed with the splendid work at the institution, according to a report read by Mrs. J. W. Lethbridge. The sum of five guineas was voted as a donation to the Auckland Karitane fund. . A vote of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Mr. Henry Fraser.
