REFUSE DESTRUCTOR.

DEVONPORT'S ATTITUDE.

" I suggest that we let events take their own course," said Mr. E. H. Little last evening, referring to the dispute about the North Shore destructor, when the Mayor of Dovonport, Mr. 11. F. W. Meikle, reported to the Borough Council on a meeting of tho Destructor Committee. Mr. Meikle said the Dovonport council was not prejudiced in tho matter, but he expected an agreement which it had been invited to enter into should be adhpred to unless there was good cause for repudiation. , "It lias been shown," he said, "that the most economical method of disposing of Devonport's refuse fit present is by the destructor." It was mentioned that tho Takapuna Borough Council had made other arrangements for disposing of the refuse of its district.
