CHARGE AGAINST COOK.
£230 IN TOE OF SHOE. THEFT OF £382 ALLEGED. A charge of stealing £382 in money, the. property of John Sullivan, on or about July 10. was preferred against Ann Mary McGuinness, alias Sullivan, a cook, 48 years of age, in the Police Court yes-
terday. In asking for a remand Detective Sergeant Kelly said a sum of £250 had been found in the toe of a shoe worn by accused when she was taken into custody.
Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., remanded Mc Guinness until next Monday.
