SEMI-JUBILEE.

BIBLE CLASS UNION. During tlio week-end the Auckland Methodist Young Women's Bible Class Union has been celebrating its semijubilee, and annual country members' and thanksgiving week-end. On Saturday afternoon visitors and representatives from country classes were motored round the city. In the evening Wesley Ilall, Pitt Street, was the scene of a gathering of more than 200 members. At the banquet, arranged for the occasion, the president of the union, Mrs. R. Blayney, welcomed representatives from tlio Baptist, Church of England and Presbyterian Unions, the N representative from the Y.W.C.A., pioneer members of tho union, and delegates from country classes. After the banquet a social hour was spent. To follow this a camp iiro evening had been arranged, and seated in tho glow of tho firo an exceedingly interesting time was spent in song_ and story. Tlio evening concluded with a camp firo talk and vespers led by Mrs. W. J Williams, of Christcliurch. Sunday afternoon was the occasion of (ho specially arranged thanksgiving service. Members of the union, visitors and friends assembled ut Pitt Street Methodist Church, where tho service was led and tho address for the afternoon delivered by Mrs. R. Blayney, president of the union. To the roll call 63 classes responded, arid representatives of the 850 girls belonging to the union brought forward their thanksgiving offerings.
