CAPTIVES RELEASED.
SURVIVORS FROM WRECK. CHINESE PIRATES PUNISHED. (Received August 23, 5.5 p.m.) SHANGHAI, August 22. British and Chinese naval landing parties have released three Chinese survivors from the wrecked steamer Kwong Sang and are recovering the looted ships ptoperty valued at 1000 dollars. The naval men took drastic punitive measures against the piratical villagers, who were found in the marshy Sintu Peninsula. They reburied 40 bodies from the wreck.
