JAPANESE EMPEROR'S GIFT. £II,OOO FOR SUFFERERS. (Received August 23, 8.45 p.m.) TOKIO, August 22. As a mark of bis sympathy the Emperor Ilirohito has given from his privy purse 100,000 yen (£10,000) to the Chinese sufferers by the Hankow floods and 10,030 yen to the Japanese sufferers.
