GOVERNMENT SAVING.
ECONOMY BY WAR OFFICE. SUSPENSION OF WORKS. (Received August; 23, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 22. The Daily Mail says the Government ban ordered the suspension of all War Office works at home find abroad. This will result in a saving of from £2,000,0 CX) to £4,000,000. It is understood that similar instructions will be issued by the Admiralty, the Royal Air Force and the Office of Works.
