In the second column is given the return, based on the hist annual dividend, from investment at the quoted price. In the case of Government and other redeemable securities the return includes redemption. In calculating the returns' on shares in companies which pay their dividends outside New Zealand exchange rates, being liable, to fluctuations, have not been taken into consideration. At an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the Tauranga Co-operative Dairy Association to-day the factory manager, Mr. E. Gilbert, was presented with a gold watch in appreciation of his success in winning the New Zealand butter championship at the last Waikato Winter Show. LONDON DAIRY VALUES. PRODUCE BOARD'S REPORT. Tho board has received the following advice from its agents in Canada:—Butter: New York, 29 cents (Is 2£d); Montreal, 22 1-8 (11 l-16d). SALES OF FRUIT. SOUTH AMERICAN DISPOSALS. The New Zealand Fruit Export Control Board has received the following cablegram from Messrs. J. Peluffo and Cia, selling agents, Buenos Aires, South America:—Sales since last telegram ex Maimoa, Jonathan, 699 extra fancy and 349 cases fancy, 5s 7d a case; Matakana, Delicious, 2550 cases extra fancy, 10s 8d a case; 975 cases fancy, 10s lOd a case; net realisations are at to-day's rate of exchange, 32£ per cent. DISPERSAL SALE. MR. 11. C. BULL'S DAIRY HERD. A very representative bench of buyers attended the dispersal sale of dairy cattle conducted by Dalgety and Company, Limited, at Puketutu, Mangere, on Friday, on behalf of Mr. H. C. Bull, who has relinquished dairying. Tho cattle were offered in exceedingly good condition, and being a town supply herd all tho cOws j had either calved or were in profit. The ! demand was keen and there was a total clearance of 118 head at values which were better than which have ruled recently. Good-quality young cows in profit made from £lO 10s to £l2 10s; other good young cows in profit, £8 to £10; late calvers, £5 to £7 10s; older cows, £4 to £5; fat cows, £5 to £7 15s; light fat cows, £4 to £5; good springing heifers, £7 5s to £7 10s; other heifers, £5 to £6 10s; backward heifers, £4 to £5. STOCK SALES. MORRINSVILLE QUOTATIONS. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports:—At the Mortinsville stock sale en Friday heavy yardings of fat sheep and fat cattle and a medium yarding of store cattle were penned. Fat sheep were slightly easier of sale, but late rates were fully maintained on fat cattle. Fat pigs met with fair competition. There was an extra heavy yarding of stores and weahers, the latter selling at usual high spring prices.
