THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE.
QUIET SATURDAY MORNING. A small volumo of business was put through at the single call on the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday morning. More supplies of Government loans were available, but offers weakened slightly for some lines. There was 110 inquiry for local body debentures.
Banks remained dull, but an improvement was registered by Commercials of Australia, which were taken 3d firmer at 13s 6d. More were sought at 13s 4d and holders advanced their quotations to 13s lOd. Inquiry for New Zealands firmed 3d to 46s 6d and supplies were quoted at 475. ' Offers for Unions were 7s 6d easier at £6. In insurance a fall of 3d was recorded in a deal in South British, which changed hands at 50s 6d. Easy conditions prevailed in other sections of tho market, inquiry being restricted to a few prominent lines. In . mining firm levels were maintained for Waihis, which after being done late on Friday at the unaltered price of 15s Bd, were dono again on Saturday jit that price. " ' /
