BOY MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT.

CHILD INJURED ON ROCKS.

A number of accident cases kept the St. John Ambulance and Auckland Hospital staffs busy during the week-end. Two youthful motor-cyclists were involved in a collision at two o'clock on Saturday afternoon at the intersection of the Great North Road and Brown Street, Avondalo. Olio of the lads, Bernard Frank Bull, aged 17, was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, suffering from head injuriesand abrasions. His condition is not serious. He lives at Blake Street, Avondale. The other, Paul Joffre Clarkson, aged 15, of 10, Prospect Square, Ponsonby, was not hurt. Neither of the machines was much damaged. Suffering from head injuries, Ernest Crane, aged 16, residing at 35, Bond Street, Grey Lynn, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital in an unconscious condition at 10.15 last evening. On his regaining consciousness about midnight, it was learned that lie had been riding a bicycle in Karangahape Road, when the front forks of the machine snapped, throwing him heavily to the road. His condition is not regarded as serious. While walking over the rocks at Thome's Bay yesterday afternoon, Desmond Scott, aged 5, a son of Mr. A. J. Scott, of 8, Minnehaha Avenue, Takapuna, slipped and fractured an elbow. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is satisfactory.

Mr. Henry Henderson, aged 75, of 70, Owen's Road, Epsom, was admitted to the hospital at seven o'clock on Saturday evening suffering from concussion. He was not able to say clearly what happened, but he says he believes ho was knocked down at a street intersection. Ho is not badly injured. Mr. G. Cutler, a nurseryman, of Swanson, received a dislocated shoulder when his motor-cycle skidded near the Swanson railway station at about three o'clock on Saturday afternoon. He was treated by local St. John Ambulance men and was able to go to his home. St. John Ambulance men also attended to a number of football accidents on Saturday afternoon. While playing in a Rugby match between Technical College Old Boys and Ellerslie at the Show Grounds, C. Oldbury, aged 18, of Pentland Avenue, Mount Eden, received a fracture of the right. collarbone and broken ribs. He is now in the Auckland Hospital. C. Hoyte, aged 26, of Polygon Road, St. ITeliers Bay, playing for Tamaki against University, received concussion and was removed to the hospital. L. Martin, of West Coast Road, Glen Eden, suffered a broken collarbone while playing at Point Chevalier.
