HEADMASTER RESIGNS.

THE REV. C. F. PIERCE. WANGANUI COLLEGIATE SCHOOL. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] WAT7GANTJI, Tuesday. The Rev. C. F. Pierce, headmaster of the Wanganui Collegiate School, has tendered his resignation to the Board of Trustees for health reasons. The resignation will take effect from the end of the, year. Mr. Pierce, who'was appointed headmaster of Wanganui Collegiate School in 1922, was born in Lancashire in 1877 and was educated at Magdalen College,. Ox-' ford, where he graduated M.'A. At Ox- « ford, Mr. Pierce took a prominent part in Rugby, cricket and rowing. He was" V a master at Cranbrook School from 1906 to 1908, at Giggleswick School from 1908 to 1914, and was at Haileybury College in 1915. From 1915 to he was headmaster at Cranbrook School.
