QUERY CLUB.
THE YEAR'S WORK. The Query Club held its tenth annual meeting in the Diocesan Old f J iris* Rooms. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. During the year thn members made a number of scrap-books. Fortnightly sewing meetings were held and many useful garments of all descriptions were made and sent to Sister Pal, of the City Mission, for distribution among the needy. Warm clothing was also made for sufferers from the Napier earthquake. At Christmas time parcels of groceries, etc,, were sent to deserving cases in the city. During the year donations were sent to the Society for the Protection of Women and Children, the St. John Ambulance and tho earthquake relief fund. Assistance was also given to the British Empire Cancer Campaign and the mock banquet arranged by Miss A. Basten. The club took charge of the sweets stall at tho St. Mary's Homes bazaar and assisted in three street collections.
Final arrangements fo- the annua! dance wero discussed. A vote of thanks was passed to all outgoing officers, especially to Miss Ina Wight, who has so ably filled the position of president for the last 12 months.
The following officers were elected: — President, Mrs. G. Eddowes; vice-presi-dents, Miss I. Wight, »Miss R. Whitley, Miss M. Mason; lion, secretary, Miss Huia Wiseman; hon. treasurer, Miss Cwcn Williams.
•Members present were:—Mesdames Ashby, Becchey, Eddowes, Fulton, and Misses Duder, Campbell. Gudgeon, Johnson, Mason, McGlashan, Maginnes, Miller, Tapper, Thompson, Weston, Wallis, Patterson, Wight, Williams, Ovens, H. Wiseman, It. Wiseman, Whitley.
