CHARGE 0F FRAUD.
CONTRACTOR REMANDED.' A charge of obtaining credit by fraud by incurring a debt of 12s for six gallons of bonzine with Bernard Roberts Auckland on April 3 was preferred in the Polico Court yesterday against Thomas Leslie Powell, aged 29, contractor. He was also charged with stealing two drums of emoleum, valued at £3 17s, the property of the City Council, on March 16 and with the theft of a ukulele, valued at £3 10s, belonging to James Henry Probert, on December 24. On the application of Mr. McLiver accused was remanded for a week, bail of £IOO being allowed.
