QUARANTINE SYSTEM.
MODIFICATION PROPOSED. ENGLISH PLAN PREFERRED. [nv TELKGUAPH. —PHIiSS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Tuesday. At its last meeting Hie Board of Health again discussed the question of the quarantine system in New Zealand and after consideration of a report presented by Dr. M. H. Watt, Director-General of Health, unanimously passed the following resolution:—"The Board of Health is of £Iio" opinion that the adoption, of tho English system of quarantine in New Zealand would give at least as much protection as that at present in force, while it would enable a considerable saving to "be effected in administrative costs and involve less, interference with shipping and with tho convenience of tho travelling public."
