CAPTAIN AND MRS. TAMBS.
An enjoyable evening was given by Mr. Gordon Bellve at the residence of Mr. G. Demies, Herne Bay, in honour of Captain and Mrs. Erling Tarabs and the crew of the Toddy. The reception room was decorated with flags and coloured lights among the greenery. Dancing, music and competitions were enjoyed. Toasts were honoured and a presentation in the form of a hand-wrought silver spoon was made to Mrs. Tambs for her daughter. Competitions were won by Mrs. Tambs, Miss Birch and Miss M. Ryan.
