WEDDINGS.

LEVIN—RAFFAN. The wedding was celebrated at St. John's Anglican Church, Feilding, last week of Miss Kathleen Raffan, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Robert Raffan, of Fordyce, Banffshire, Scotland, to Mr. Robert Levin, only son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Levin, of Westella, Feilding. The Rev. Canon Petrie performed the ceremony. The bride was given away by Mr. D. H. S. Riddiford (godfather of the briaegroom). She wore a gown of ivory satin, made with tight-fitting bodice, cut to a V in front, and long, tightfitting sleeves, finished in a point over tli6 hands. The full skirt fell in soft folds to the ground. A large satin rose with a pearl centre finished the high waistline. The train was of ivory georgette, lined with palest shell pink and finished on the under edge with a single row of pearls. The entire train was bordered with wide Brussels lace. The veil was also of Brussels lace ?md was worn over a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of freesias, cyclamen and roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Paddy Levin, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Jocelyn Riddiford and Miss Cara Johnston. They were dressed Eilike in delphinium blue chiffon velvet frocks, made on mediaeval lines. The tight, high-waisted bodices had square necks edged with narrow fur, which also finished the long sleeves. The skirts were made with tight-fitting hip yokes and were softly flared to the ankles. The headdresses were wreaths of blue velvet leaves to match the frocks and in place of bouquets they carried quaint little muffs of ruched velvet trimmed with fur. Mr. J. Lawrence, of Masterton, attended the bridegroom as best, man, and Messrs. J. Vogel (Wellington) and Dick Bunny (Wellington) were groomsmen. Mrs. Levin, mother of the bridegroom, wore a chestnut velvet frock, which had a square-cut neck and long, flared skirt. With this she wore a small coatee made of the same material with deep mink fur collar and cuffs and a small hat of deeper coloured velvet. The bride, who has been in New Zealand only a few months, lias been staying at Westella. Last week, with the members of the household, she was the guest at an entertainment specially provided by the Maoris of the district, when native dances, etc., were given by an enthusiastic and well-trained band. They chose this as their way of showing their affection for the popular owner of the estate and his family. The programme was thoroughly enjoyed, especially by the Scottish bride-to-be, who received the hearty good wishes, emotionally and poetically expressed, of the Maoris for a long and happy life.

MANNING —FULLERTON. The marriage of Miss Gwendolen Evelyn Fullerton, only daughter of Dr. and Mrs. F. W. Fullerton, of Remucra Road, to Mr. Keith Wilson Manning, elder son of Dr. and Mrs. L. S. Manning, of Gordon Road, Fcndalton, Christchurch, was celebrated quietly at St. Aidan's Church, Remuera, on Saturday afternoon. The Rev. W. \V. Averill performed the ceremony. , The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of shaded sapphire blue, ninon embroidered with a dice pattern in silver grey. The skirt fell in flares from a closely-fitting hip line and an elbow-length coateo of the same material was worn • over tiie frock. Her .wide-brimmed hat of blue liseret straw was trimmed under the brim with a bow in two shades of blue. She carried an ivory-bound prayer book. Following the geremony a reception, attended by a few relatives and close friends of the bride, was held at the home of her parents. Mrs. Fullerton received wearing a frock of black satin and ecru lace and a black hat.
