LAWN TENNIS.
THE PAPAKURA CLUB. There was a fair attendance of members nt the annual meeting of the Papakura Tennis Club. The report stated that the past season had been a successful one. The membership had increased from 35 to 53. nncl the club hnd won the. Mamikait Shield in the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's outer-suburban competition. The balancesheet showed a credit balance of £42. The following officers were elected : Patron. Mr. E. D. McLennan; president. Mr. H. L. Thornton: vice-presidents. Messrs. W. A. Pavitt, J. E. Elliott, A. R. McLennan and J. R. Wilson: secretary and treasurer, Mr. L. G. Watson: club captain. Mr. G. F. McDonald; committee. Messrs. M. L. 8. Cole, R. Lanigan and R. L. Watson. Mrs. J. F. Johnßtone, and Misses W. Wilkins and C. McDonald: auditor, Mr. G. C. Hob•on.
