Although the Victorian Treasury's statement for the 10 months shows a shortage of £4,994,200, adjustments during the remaining two months arc expected to reduce the deficit to £2,000,000.

On April 30 Queensland had a credit balance of £2,390,392 in all her funds. The statement of the consolidated revenue of Tasmania shows that expenditure exceeded receipts for the 10 months by £225,149.
